“Join the Navy, and see the world.” Remember that old recruiting slogan? At 17 Nick did just that. Seeing the world, including swimming in the three major oceans of the world, was a life changing experience. From then on, Nick has done the non-traditional in many stages of his life and career. After graduating with honors from the University of Utah, Nick’s career path became more of a hiking trail. Nick found the fascination of the hospitality business working and living in Bryce Canyon National Park. He was hooked. Nick spent the next 18 years living and working in National Parks around the western United States. Nick has been with Stout Street Hospitality since spring 2004. Nick’s vision of HR is to develop the talent, creativity and contributions each employee can make to our culture. This vision encompasses doing things outside the job description, and using the service instincts our employees possess. Nick’s enchantment of the outdoors continues with the Sierra Club, National Trails Foundation and Rails to Trails.
